The Morocco national team may take to the pitch with a significantly reshuffled squad in their upcoming friendly match, due to a series of injuries affecting several key players. As a result, the technical staff is considering fielding a second-string team.

According to sources close to the national team, no fewer than seven regular starters are currently unavailable due to medical reasons. These include key figures such as Brahim Diaz, Abde Ezzalzouli, Sibari, Nayef Aguerd, Noussair Mazraoui, Romain Saïss, Chadi Riad, and last but not least, Achraf Hakimi—whose absence could greatly impact the squad’s cohesion.

In light of this situation, head coach Walid Regragui is expected to opt for a revamped line-up to make up for these absences and maintain a competitive balance. This presents a golden opportunity for several young players to step up, prove their worth, and earn consideration for upcoming official fixtures.

The friendly match, scheduled for Friday, June 6 against Tunisia, will serve both as a tactical experiment and a testing ground for the coaching staff in a context marked by unpredictability. While the final score may not be the primary focus, the main objective will be to assess the depth of the squad and broaden the pool of available options in the medium term.
